I am not going to suggest Dirges should emulate other classes because I have not studied other classes such as Monks, Coercers, Conjies, or Paladins. However, the scout utility character (i.e., bard) should do near, if not the same, DPS as the mage utility character (i.e., enchanter) so I agree with much of Kall's points.

If this concept were true, then all raid gear would be better than group instance gear; however, unless, your perspective of raiding gear is gear that should help the entire raid instead of just you. I play a Dirge to increase the survivability and DPS directly to raid members. Heh, this is why IT SHOULD SUCK when a bard dies compared to when a warlock or assasin or bruiser dies. Kall states, "for the most part, there should be a penalty if a Bard dies but there shouldn't if a DPS dies?" Umm, yeah!! I think the same penalty would remain with enchanters as well (i.e., oops, there goes our power regen, insta-cast plz!! ) .

I still agree with ya Kall. Making the buffs insta-cast or really fast casts would be freak'n awesome. This would motivate me to use the tinkerer's Exothermic items.

We need a self-rez ability as well!!! I bet there's a class that gets one as well so lets get this scale balanced.

at least the aa buffs except BC need to be changed to passive ones doing no dps for about 12secs after a death is retarded

Give dirges aoe autoattack chance!!! and reach =O and BC caster castable (for soloing of course)
