I often run instances with a dirge.

He generally runs stoneskin, hate, parry, power, and the proc buff in the difficult instances.

I asked him to run weapons boon as I mostly tank in my defensvie stance and it seemed like my aggro was better with boon then with the proc buff as it seems i miss a ton in TSO in my defensive stance.

Assuming nobody is at caps in dps or weapons skills which is better dps for instances in a melee heavy group? Boon, dps, or the proc buff?

Does the proc buff (tombs?) only work off of weapon melee damage or off CA to? Does it trigger off offhand weapons or spells?

Without a raid geared tank I would run power, boon, DPS, stoneskin and hate. Parry with the mitigation AAs might be better than stoneskin for a brawler, not sure though since I have free PoS. You shouldnt need parry and stoneskin except maybe on nameds where you can generaly drop mana depending on the length of the fight.

I havent run anything in TSO without raid geared grouped so not sure but thats what I would do before I was raiding.

I am a bit surprised... haven't seen the need to run Hyran's with the exception being alt tanks (not to make any assumptions about your need to have it run). Usually do have a Swashy or Sin with transfer though

toggle power for parry if the tank isn't raid geared on nameds.

if there is an illy/troub i run str/agi in place of power.

I don't run power or hate unless I need to, I spend the first few encounters assessing the new group for these. I never use str/agi unless there is another dirge in the group (and only then if he has more masters than me). I usually run with stoneskin/parry/boon/rianna's/tomb.

If I have to put up hate or power I drop boon, usually. But I'm not sure whether that, rianna's, or tomb contributes the least dps.

If I have to use hate and power, I drop boon and tomb.

I refuse to join groups without enchanters. Normally run everything; dps/boon/crypt/stoneskin/hate, and swap between str/agi and parry depending on my mood.

im the same as niber but i always run parry, im so close to the cap on str in groups as well as most of the group so i figured fuck it

I run Boon/mana/tombs/DPS/stoneskin almost all the time(drop mana for Str/agi on easy or parry on harder if I have an illy). If your tank can't parse enough to old aggro then switch tank xD

When I have a dirge with my zerker I always ask them to put boon because our +skills sucks. (Exept if a warden's in the groop, if so there is no need of boon's for scouts because they're already capped or almost cap with OH anyway.)

what's this mana song everyone keeps talking about? i thought that's what chanters and troubs were for! i can't remember the last time i ran it for more than fights with mana drain. i typically run stone, boon, dps, tomb's, str/agi. final slot is for parry or hate, depending on the tank. if the tank needs the extra aggro, hate. if he's holding just fine, parry for the avoidance.

I rarely cast Hyran hate buff. 3 scenarios for casting Hyran :
1) with a uber tank and DPS group whiping and aggroing 8 to 20 mobs at one time;
2) when tank asks for it.
3) when other group members are get'n aggro more than a few times

I only do power song if group does not have a chanter and a group member's power is falling below 30%. In raids with trash mobs, I might not activate power song at all.

I only cast parry when tanks health is volatile, jumping around 30% up and down like crazy. When a Brawler is tank, I use parry instead of Percussion of Stone. Or, activate Parry when tank wants it.

I always have Percussion of Stone cast except when a Brawler is tank.

I only cast Boon on orange con mobs, when I have a free conc slot, or when tank asks for it.

I have the Dmg Proc Buff activated most of the time. I replace this buff with Parry buff if I have no free conc slots available and tank wants the parry buff. The Dmg Proc buff has a chance on any successful attack which is everything including taunts.

I cast STR/AGI buff when :
1) tanks health is volatile
2) when I have a free conc slot. Even with 900 strength after STR/AGI buff is cast, after diminishing returns, you will still receive at least 2% boost in dmg from combat arts, that is about at least +18 to Combat Art Damage at tier8.

I cast Noxious Tempo on only particular names that have nasty noxious AoEs like a couple in Guk.

I would cast the Riana's DPS Buff when :
1) there's alot of melee
2) when i have a free conc slot
3) when I have my mythical and Marrow's Song equipped. Since I got my Mythical and Marrow's Song, I normally always have my Riana's DPS song activated evenwith alot of mages since Marrow's Song gives a 5% reuse buff for both spells and CAs.
