Before everybody rips me a new ventilation hole, please know that I am not a hard core player and am asking for this info because I have been getting conflicting advice.

I have the oportunity to join a raid force and am conflicted whether I should spend AA points in STA or not, in fact I would REALLy apreciate it if some of you top notch Dirges would share our AA distribution. Thanks )

It won't be not knowing the stuff that's gonna get a new ventilation hole opened, but it's gonna be that it seems you didn't look around in the dirge forums. Dirge of Death

Bard Tree

Wisdom : 4-4-6-8-1
Stamina : 4-4-4-8
Agility : 4-4-4-8
Intelligence : 4-1

(Or instead of Intelligence 4-1 some are using Strength 4-1 with Critical AEs and learning new encounters.)

Dirge Tree

Luck Line : 5 Stealth, 5 Chime, 5 Dead Calm, 3 Power Ballad, 2-5 Noxious Tempo, 1 Luck of the Dirge

Degradations Line : 3-5 All (depending on other dirges' choices), 1 Degradate

Life and Death : 5 Howl of Death, 5 Elegy at Death's Door, 5 Elegy of Awakening, 5 Speech of Sacrifice, 1 Confront Fear

(I guess some use Magnetic Note, I'd assume 5 Depriving Shot, 5 Lanet's Scream, 1 Fearful March, 5 Wail of Horror, 1 Magnetic Note; leaving you with a few more points to throw around in the debuff line)

Shadows Tree

General : 5 Hearty Constitution

Scout : 5 Quick Strike, 1 Evasive Maneuver

Bard : 5 Shrieking Cry, 5 Flanking Chorus, 5 Intoxicating Notes, 1 Dexterous Sonata

Dirge : 5 Fortissimo, 5 Viral Infection, 5 Sacrificial Oration, 1 Disease Mastery, 1 Battle Cry

(This Tree seems to have more debate - for General most I think are with Pet of the Gods, Enhanced Mind, or their choice of the movement speed ones; for Scout line Strengthened Links or Sinister Strike; the 4 remaining points could be allotted to Deathly Howl, Selo's or Sinister Strike depending on personal casting order / preference / degree of min-max / etc.)


Otherwise, as far as I know the above is a pretty agreed upon ideal spec among raiding dirges.

Yeah, I agree with all of Dirge of Death's post. I have the same layout except in the Dirge Luck tree where I maxed power ballad and noxious tempo.

This is a common subject in the dirge forums so there is probably more folk gonna rip ya since writing a 5 minute rip is so much quicker than writing a 5 minute quick AA layout.

I've heard Dirges drop Life and Death for the Magnetic Note, but I have also heard that Magnetic Note is used rarely for some Dirges and heard the same said about the Bard's STR line since Bladedance is a 9min recast.

If you're a young dirge with low health and resistances, then ya might want to think about get'n 1 point into Turnstrike. Even though Turnstrike has a very long recast of 1min, you will at least be able to negate some AoEs. However, I have heard that there are quite a few AoEs in the TSO expak raid zones that are immune to AoE blockers.

Really, dirges are top notch according to their raid guild. They wouldn't be where they are without be'n in guilds like Confirmed and amount of game time so ya should take everyone's post with a sensible level of skepticism while ya learn to discriminate amongst posts according to their content. heh, lecture over. lol.

I took your advices and respected my AA lines...............much better and again thanks for all your input
