I have to agree with Kall on the power ballad. With all the chanters in today's raid forces, Power ballad wastes a conc slot. I could be out of power one second and full the next.

I gotta hand it to the OP: When I read the post I could imagine fingernails scraping against a chalkboard in certain spots. Many people have responded with a vengeance. In the end the additions to the post could make this a one-stop info page for new people playing the class.

Yeah, for trash killing, I would sometimes not have power ballad or sometimes not have hyran's hate.

LOL, you 70 power per 6 seconds will only allow them to cast an additional heal every 20 seconds = trivial for countering a powerdrain.

okay maybe not so much power ballad nowadays but once upon a time it was useful...just make sure u got chanters.

I thought Mythical + the 4 sets were pretty obvious, but will put them on just for you rukkis

any more flames for improvements will be taken by me obviously, I remember starting up my dirge and not having a sodding place to go...

Revise your buffs to flow a bit better. There are alot of passive buffs from AA that you should mention such as Fortissimo, DKTM, LotD and those new ones from Shadow line. New dirges may forget to put these on their hotbar

Organize the buffs requiring conc as others have said. i.e. Riana's should ALWAYS be up. State that in your post.

I did state that riana's should always be up...unless i was too tired to remember. another thing on my 'check at home' list lol

and AA buffs aren't all available, but I will make a section under buffs of all AA buffs.

without starting a new thread, i know between gear and defensive stance our MT gets more benefit avoidance/crit mit wise from agility now. His parry is into diminishing returns, but i am spec for a dps group so i didn't have strengthened links until recently to help clothies live through ae's. Can any MT dirges confirm this ? I'm curious if its the sort of thing where the displayed avoidance is misleading cause mob lvl makes the parry useful.

Yep, I also know that mages can channel power as well. However, the fact remains that an additional heal is not trivial and 20 seconds can make a huge difference when raid group is power hurt'n. Even if the song is just activated for those few seconds while waiting for mages to give them power, the per tick regeneration is not trivial.

I never stated you'd always keep it on. I never stated the song would counter powerdrain.

I'm glad ya don't mind be'n the fella say'n " F you! sorry man, my power song is trivial and the help is useless " when your group is hurt'n on power regardless of it be'n mage/player incompetence or lack of power items.
