It depends. A dead dirge can't use CoB, and will spend a lot of time rebuffing. Sometimes a little bit less dps is worth the potential loss.

It would vary on the mob/zone though.

Unless your in a weird grp you should have two healers and be jousting. You should have no problem wearing vp 4 set with other minor peices of crit mit. The first couple mobs in progression really don't need a lot of crit mit for Dirges. After those mobs are dead you should have the tso 4 set.

And with 4 pieces of TSO raid set and v3 BP, my crit mit will be good enough for a looooong time in comparison to my guild progression trough content IMO.

PR is something anyone can PUR tbh... No flags or anything required, and tbh not even a decent set of people are required.

PotAO should be PUR-able up to switch...

WoE up to Dayakara any old 12 people (so long as you have tank + 4 heals) should be able to do (especially if tank has a dirge).

I believe the ones in WoE sorta duplicate themselves? (pardon me if im incorrect) but I think once the LU comes out tuesday, you can loot it, buy the enhanced version, then loot another...

If not then they are still good... and that isn't a definate list of 'what you should have as a casual dirge'... just a general guideline as to what to look for.

Also, casual dirges might find Twelve Tone useful, but once they get any ears with >2 DA, it generally outweighs.
