Advice- Magic debuffs other than snare should only be cast while opponent is feared or if you spells are down and ur in long range.

Always keen before fear attempt.

Learn to know what class your opponent is in a glace.

Sprint is not a bad idea when necessary, learn to toggle it correctly when kiting.

Every fight is unique in one vs one.

the difference is your dirge lourdes, and mine have gear. a pos geared dirge cant one shot a healer

Some things I noticed is it takes me longer to cast my abilities, especially my debuffs. The brigs have me stunned most of the fight. This wizards just root me and then take me out in 1 or two spells.

What am I doing wrong?

When i was your level and a Dirge i excelled against clothies and fighters. Fighters you can simply kite. Just get a good bow and decent arrows and your good to go. At that level its all about preparation. I used to get the best possible arrows made for my level, get all the potions i might need, made sure to have all the important clicky items like the chest piece from varsoons for extra burst dps.

Scouts you will want to keep as far away from you as possible. Never stop kiting them, even if you have them at 20% health and your at 100%, dont go into melee. You will lose toe to toe with any scout as a bard unless you have an "i win" clicky item up your sleeve.

But to answer your question as to weather dirges are made for 1v1...well your a bard...so no. People who roll Troubs/Dirges often forget that they are made as a support class, not for 1v1 toe to toe mortal combat. Now im not saying you cant 1v1 as a Dirge, im just saying no it wasnt exactly designed for 1v1 combat when it was designed. Remember also that pvp came in EQ2 like 2 years after it was made. So nothing was deisigned for pvp.

Can you solo as a Dirge in PvP and be successful. Yes, but dont kid yourself you will always be a bard, and bards are best in a duo or group. Bards are a finesse pvp class that requires a lot of honed tactics for 1v1 pvp.

Inq/Temp = power drain i would assume... since they have a lot of HwH that they generally use that use up tons of pwr... so keen + i think emotional dirge (one that decreases speed that's green) and then use yo bow with the stun or whatever... if you can try to interrupt one or 2 of their heals by going in just after a fear + CoB... ie fear and then run in casting CoB, melee the hell outta 'em.

idk, I haven't PvP'ed on a dirge, but I would imagine that's the general idea...

I would imagine Ranger is worst thing to PvP on a dirge.
