The Damage Reduction AA

I wanted to play around with the TSO Dirge line deflective chorus for certain situations. It gives 33 damage reduction in S/C/P per rank. The EQ2 in-game tips indicate that DR is capped at 60%. How mant points of DR=1% of DR?

For soloing it's not too bad - you get hit for 500 and only take 350ish. But for anything else, it's complete and utter pants. You get hit for 5000 and take 4850 - not enough difference to make it worth the 5AA points.
