Re: What makes a good dirge?
hit the nail on the head!
Invest time in changing gear around and testing parses etc.
we ARE gear dependant, so just work on getting gear with DA + MC, which is easily attainable with void shards.

Re: What makes a good dirge?
What makes a good dirge? Man there are so many different ways to be a great dirge in a situation. Usually you'll have the MT dirge, OT dirge, and then the scout dirge. If you are rolling your AA right, the MT dirge will have maximized dirge heal and is throwin gravitas on all the healers and debuffing the named while throwin in a heal now and then (ward if you have the t4 breastplate) Grandmaster hate on tank... OT dirge is doing some of the same but trying to rez people and keep his tank up. The scout dirge, debuffin adds if there are any, and dpsin his ass off and rezzin . I'd say being a good dirge requires multi-taskin abilities and knowing priority. I'm definitely not even close to being what i'd like to be, but like that one dude said, it just takes practice and changing gear/AA etc. Mistmoore drum comes in use when you need power for your group just an example. Not that I ever like using the dumb power song, but hey sometimes it comes in handy . Good luck though dirges do tons of shit...

All you have to do is parse well. Everything else (gravitas, rezzes, healing? wtf, power regen? wtf) is fluff for mediocre players to say, I know I didnt parse well but man, I cast gravitas like a SOB!

Re: What makes a good dirge?
Sonorous...
You know the dirge is considered as a HYBRID...correct? Go look that up in a dictionary before you reply with stupid shit...what good does dps do when there is no one around you ALIVE cause you didn't rez or dirge heal...whatever the case might be. As I said earlier, that was a point I made to the newbie about items (mistmore drums). While I never use the power regen, it is there if I need it...which goes along with why the dirge is a HYBRID.
"where are all of our rezzes Sonorous" Aww shit ya'll sorry I was dpsin...
you noob..
ps.

I already answered this as did others.
But what I can say is when im half asleep and not paying attention, my CoB sparsely goes up, my autoattack and DoT's go up, and I get sucky parses.
When I am paying attention, my DPS doubles. (have to be awake for this too).
A great dirge is as explained in the earlier posts. Read it or don't bother necro'ing a thread that was answered 3 months ago

Re: What makes a good dirge?
Well if I put what most other people put I guess i'm just confirming what you said earlier. To be honest didn't read all of it and didn't realize how old it was just letting the newer players know what they are getting into. If you can't multitask, don't be a dirge.
or else you'll be in over your head...yikes..

QFT
Dirges should only rez when healers really are under pressure. Noone wants to get the shittiest rez possible. Gravitas- and CoB-Rotation should be something you don't need to think about. OoS can save someone from dying but even with 10 worthless AA it still sucks. So what's left?
Kall explained it again and again over the last few years and there still are people who just don't listen. Glad you people never apply to my guild
