Default Re: Weapon Accuracy

This completely make sense to me, I have no means to test that (no accuracy item and no avatar fights ) but it seems like a very interesting explanation.
Even the lvl 100 encounter 0 to 10 hit chance seems fair with such a bonus eventually.
And I guess it wouldnt make any difference yet :D (Even if you can suddenly succesfuly hit Nagafen 10% of the time, there's no way you could kill him )

lol aye

Even if you could do ~15% of your usual dps on him, im pretty sure he would kick the crap outta you (firstly because you can only enter as a single group :P)

just because I am bad with math.

how much would the 20 extra skill points we can add to boon through AA actually net a defensive tank with around 430 in % to hit?

(on at least orange con mobs?)

well assuming you have boon up all the time, it won't make that much of a difference as it's capped at 520 and on diminishing returns (so 20 points from 450 won't give as much as 20 points from 400).

Since most melee classes are quite near cap neways with the buff up, I could personally find other more useful things to put it in...

everything you say there is common knowledge, and also a bit common assumption.

i was wondering how much actual to hit a common OT would get in defensive...around 430 skill.

with other words:

skill with boon: 430 to hit = X
with improved boon skill 450 to hit = ?

i could test of course, but I am not often in the OT group....so that will make testing unreliable

I'd guess 4-6% depending on mob level. Probably 6% on Avatars. You actually get better returns on +skills the lower you are on the curve.

This is pure guess work though based on experience as it's impossible to find a controlled environment to test it on because of varying defensive debuffs and luck.

Default Re: Weapon Accuracy

is your skill with boon 430? :S

can't even remember what unit my boon is @ atm, will have to check later, but with myth + boon I would assume it's a lot less useful the more you have.

For instance, 430-> 450 being around 6%, going 450-> 470 would be more like 4%, and if you're at 470 i would assume it's a very small increase... so that's why I put nothing in it...

has anyone actually got AA in it and able to state it's usefulness?

(p.s. I didn't put a figure because i guessed if I put 5% originally someone would come along and correct me ;))

Damn, Vuetee, he is talking about an OT he would be grouped with...
And just taking 430 as an exemple I guess.

I dont run Boon often as in most group setups OT is always capped or nearly, even in def stance. So no need for AAs in it.

I guess Accuracy bonus and fighting avatars would make a difference ^^

Umm, How is a tank in defensive stance even near the 520 cap without Boon? I have not studied the exact details of each class, but I am getting the feeling ya must always have particular character classes that buff combat skills in most of your group setups or the tank has some kick ass, not easy to obtain, equipped items.
