Re: New dirge seeks advice
Grab Rhythm Blade (4/1 INT). Then start working down AGI for Poison on the KoS tree.
Also, if you have a free respec I'd move 2 points from the Noxious buff to Shroud and put 5 in Nox later when you get 190+ish AAs.
When you do get TSO, you want to max the KoS tree out asap and then start moving to the Shadows tree. The EoF tree is by far our weakest with Luck being the only thing that's really good in it.

Re: New dirge seeks advice
If I respec the Dirge tree, is it worth keeping Degredate ? Or is it maybe better to put the points of the Degredate line in an other place ?
And in the Bard tree, if I put 4-1 in INT and max out the poison in AGI (4-4-4-8) the tree will be completed then I can go to Shadow tree when I get TSO, right ?
I'm actually doing quests in Kylong plains, I'm 50% to ding 73. I have the 72 MC armor (Incarnadine Melodic) and 2 imbued incarnadine ritual daggers. It's not easy to solo in Kunark but with that armor and the new weapons it's ok I guess ... but still hard ^^

If you can, drop Degredate if it allows you to dump more points into the KoS tree or Shadows tree. Degredate isn't really that good, it's just that nothing is better in the EoF tree.
The Shadow tree has limitations on it, like you can only train so much in it until you have 130 AAs, and 170 AAs for the final set of skills. The best thing to do is to grind 172 AAs as fast as possible and then respec a bunch so your trees look like:
70 KoS
60 Shadows
42 EoF
and then from there just put all the AAs you gain to rebuild your EoF tree back up. This takes a bunch of respecs to do so if you still have your respec cards you should be able to do it without spending more than like 5p. Just make sure you have it mapped out correctly because 1 mistake can make 4 prior respecs worthless and that adds up to a lot of plat.
Edit - numbers.

Re: New dirge seeks advice
for the situation described to me in the mail, I might consider going 4-1 in STR, then maybe turning STA to 4488, and then just increase damage of your 3 CA's in Bard tree (turnstrike, shieldy one, rhythm blade). Once you hit 80 though, you will want to respec to something more like what's on my guide...
Also, when I soloed, I would try and hit my ranged attack that roots the mob, then stick all my debuffs in, starting with the red one that slows down (can't remember names, im tired). that way, if the root breaks, you have time to get ur debuffs in and probably banshee too, and then the mob comes at you fully debuffed.

Re: New dirge seeks advice
Is there a faster way to lvl to 80 instead of soloing quests in Kunark ?

not without handicapping yourself by missing out on all of the AA's. questing is the fastest way to level and get all of your AA potential. if you head to KP at lvl 67, you should ding 80 by the time you finish the JW series and have a whole mess of AA's to go along with it.

INT/STR/STA/WIS/AGI is a big deal in the lower tiers and become less important in higher tiers while shifts more of a focus to blue stats.
Starting at tier5, you'll find that grouping becomes more of a requirement if ya want to do much. Nothing like a rogue or chanter where these characters are able to do much better at holding their own while soloing.

Yes.

At your low level, this is probably correct. At lvl40ish, the crit trigger chance is so low it's almost pointless, but I would view the DKtM at lvl40ish as a item proc more than a nice group buff that it becomes in higher tiers. Still helps either way.

Bump is a must have once ya become lvl55 when you get your Stealth CA DoT, called Scream of Death.

Degredate. Dirge needs all the debuffs to increase survivability as he can when he solos!!

Shield when soloing, unless raid equipped. DW when grouping. On most solo mobs you'll get away with DW, but I would not push your luck with the yellow/orange ^ con single target or encounter solo mobs and be without a shield.

Oh yeah man, always get the Mastercrafted item upgrades when they become available. Stick to 4s delay weapons tho. These will give you good practice to prepare for tier8 and timing autoattacks. The Dirge's epic/mythical weapon is a 4s delay.
A fun armor set is the :
\aITEM 1411021180 -1742670618:[Harmonious Blood Mail Hauberk]\/a
Make a macro to equip the full armor set, cast selos, then click another macro to equip your normal equipment. By doing this, the set bonus gives ya like 5% or so extra speed on your song and it is not removed when you remove the armor set. However, the bonus will be removed when you go to another zone so just rinse/repeat, pretty fast and easy for that extra little speed. (and yes this still works)

Yeah, once ya are above lvl70 or so, the strategy below will not become as effective apparently. At this point, questing is very effective. I think the worst lvling was from lvl75 to lvl80.
When below lvl70ish, meh, I do not agree questing is the fastest way to get AAs and adventur xp. Much faster to get a raid equipped t8 AoE mentor to tear up crowded zones. The problem is ya run out of adventuring vitality very fast, but no problem since ya got 8 adv lvls or more in a hour. Another problem is your combat/casting skills will need drastic improvement from lvling so fast. Meh, go questing to wait for vitality to fill up again and solo questing is a good way to get those combat/casting skilsl up again.
Once ya lvl80, mentor down to get that AA exp bonus buff from mentoring to clear out quests and dungeon name AA exp. BTW, grey con quests no longer give less AA exp. Also, if ya have the 300 plat (tremendously much easier to come by more for some than others especially if ya a t8 raider), then go on a collection buying spree on the broker to get like 200+ collections in no time.
This is definately more cumbersome, but this is much faster if ya have the mentoring and coin resources.

Re: New dirge seeks advice
I'm actually lvl 74 and questing in Fens of Nathsar. It's ok, I survive those quests but can not complete heroic ones, then I ask for help in my guild. But it's just very long ...
When I hit 75 I'll do some shard runs if I can get a group but I don't know if the XP will be good in there. Will see ...

tbh, i haven't finished the fens lines with any of my toons. that is definitely the most boring zone for questing with too much running around. just do a bit, then skip to KJ. you can finish the KJ series in just a couple hours, then do the same in JW. you'll be 80 with plenty of AA's. then you can use TSO and shard runs for pure AA
