Default Lend Shielding

Can anyone verify that this ability works.

I was trying to use it on Gynok the other day during deathtouch.

So I Macro'd on my shield and used the ability. Sometimes I would swap right back to DW, sometimes I would leave the shield on to see if it effected it.

I can't seem to find anything in the chat log that would indicate that the ability worked or blocked anything at all.

Can anyone tell me if they've ever tried the ability and if they where able to find it in the logs.

My old guild insisted we used it on Gynok. Completely hit and miss in my opinion and therefore a waste of fucking time.

I never found anything in the logs relating to it either.

Old thread about it on Gynok if anything in there helps you.

Thanks I hadn't read that thread that helps a ton. I just got it because I put 8pts in Parry to hopefully help the tank getting 1 shotted and I only had 4pts left (not enough to get me turnstrike) so I figured I'd try Lend Shielding.

I'm not really clear on how the templar and the tank avoids work. Would putting it on a brawler that had avoid on the tank be as good/worse/a wash compared to throwing it on the templar?

Discussion when the ability first came out:

Swap roundshield in and cast on tank. Your and Tank's block goes to 75%. (I guess block is capped at 75%?) If you swap your roundshield out while it's active, your block goes to 0 (because you don't have a shield anymore obviously), tank stays at 75%. When Tank blocks an attack or another bard uses the ability, buff "fires" and the refresh timer starts.

So in summary, this ability only works on tanks using shields, you don't need your shield equipped while it's active, and can't be double or triple stacked on incoming.
It does nothing on brawlers because they don't have a shield and they nerfed it a while ago so it doesn't super buff clerics. I think it still works on them but it'll trigger off the first block/avoid they make.
