their idea of making a useless spell / ability / achievement skill useful isn't to actually make it useful, but to make it useless more often.
i still love the control line changes....

It's obviously a PvP change which has little to no impact on PvE. Bards seem to be getting a lot of those these days.

Re: GU 38 Speculation
And stupidly enough, as a bard on PvP, I really don't give 2 shits about what we've gotten in the past few months.
I'd almost not use the buff if it didn't cost concentration out of spite for all the worthless crap we've been getting.

Re: GU 38 Speculation
Because it no way imbalances anything meaning no real work for them. Wouldve been nicer to have something like boon be raidwide as its useful to most people and isnt stupidly overpowering anything.

Re: GU 38 Speculation
Best solution ever for Dirges - CoB counts towards OUR damage, not everyone else. Lets see how you parse now bitches! Oh sorry mister assassin did I out parse you? Oh sorry mister brigand , you didn't make the parse because MY spell counted for MY dps.
Honestly it sounds like these changes along with every other change they make for bards is about useless.
How about something really useful as a bonus? Something that makes us feel like we shouldn't be a toon that someone bots on autofollow or the local rez machine (athough I am totally for a raid wide rez on dirges).

Re: GU 38 Speculation
Actually, most raiders and raid leaders really should know who contributes for what. There's a reason people want 3-4 bards on every raid, and it isn't because of our awesome spell particles. Would it really matter though if we took all the dps's crypts procs, chimes, a portion of their dps etc etc? Not really. It would just make us look cooler.
However, with the haste+ spell haste coming soon to be raidwide, our raidwide buff looks pretty trashy in comparison.

Re: GU 38 Speculation
Borias... parse a fight some time and take all the DPS from your two procs off of your group members, then add them to your parse. I did it for Troubs, and I came up with a DPS score of 3600 or something... And that was without finding a way to include the crits from DKtM, without including the spell haste from Allegro, without including the damage from spells that would otherwise have been resisted, except for me running Dove Song.
As for our raid-wide looking pretty trashy, yes it does, until you look at it this way:
If you put a +40 healing adornment on (or just have a pally in your raid) then the ward increases to over 500. 500 x 24 players = a 12,000 point ward, of the entire raid, that regenerates every 6 seconds. Can you tihnk of any other class that can ward for 12000 every 6 seconds just by being there?
The bad part is that our usefulness just by being in the raid is quite often the reason cited for our shit-house personal DPS... they just gave us MORE utility as a buff-bot, which could quite possibly be used to justify further reductions (or a continuance of the plateau) of our DPS.

You can use the same logic with any class. Take an Illusionist. An Illusionist can do 2k easily, give 5 synergisms/hastes and give TC and IA out. Take a Brigand. They can also do 2k easily and provide the raid with Dispatch, Rake, and Devitilize. Take an Assassin and grats, someone now has the best proc in the game! Take a Guardian with an Axe of War (which is so fucking common that it's going to our alts), grats you now have a main tank that can do T1 DPS.
So saying a Bard shouldn't be able to do 1.8k - 2k DPS because of our roles isn't a valid excuse because every other class does it.
