You've all heard of Wikipedia. At least, our good ol' EQ2 version of the Wiki.
The founder, James "Jimbo" Wales, proclaims that Wikipedia will be eventually a reservoir of knowledge or something like that. That anyone can learn anything from the Wikipedia site.
However, Internet satire website Something Awful proves otherwise, with a criticism they like to call "Wikigroaning."
What is Wikigroaning? It's when someone looks up two Wikipedia articles with similar subjects, names, or one being from the real world and one being fictional. Let's take an example that I've made myself.
American cheese - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
List of Chuck E. Cheese's characters - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Guess which has more content!
The Chuck E. Cheese one. Now, normal people wouldn't really care about who is who in the Chuck E. Cheese world. Except maybe, furries.
While that one is amusing to me, it gets better, as you can read from these three articles.
Something Awful - Wikigroaning I
Something Awful - Wikigroaning II
Something Awful - Wikigroaning III
My personal favorite? Raphael (archangel) and Raphael (TMNT). Check it out for yourself!
