So who took these kids from birth, bred them in violence, starved them, beat them, then forced them to fight one another?
These kids had a choice, they chose to drink so much that they obviously were no longer in control of their actions, call it being retarded, bad parenting, what ever. The choice however was always there.
This is the consequence they hafta face for making that choice.
Now take the dogs who did NOT have a choice, and did NOT have a say in any matter what so ever involving their very OWN lives.
So in one case you have people who made stupid
choices and in the other you have animals who never had a
choice to begin with.
Two different problems, and so thus cannot be compared. Apple and oranges if you will.
Is one more important then the other? well depends on how you look at it. On one hand dogs are dogs right? Just animals who are inferior to human beings, and a child should always have the right to live, above all else.
On the other hand, the dogs are denied the very basic right this country fought and continues to fight for every day to protect. ( ironically the right that the child was denied! ) Freedom, but not just any freedom, freedom of life.
The right to live. Everyone animal, insect, human, whatever, everyone should have the freedom to live.
So which one's more important? IMHO They are both equally disturbing situations that need to be looked at as a whole, and not be separated and compared with pros and cons like some experiment, like people love to do so much.
Stop comparing, and just do something about it.
