While I agree that is repulsively graphic, I find your reaction to his reaction interesting. If he is your average guy of the 2000's generation, his reaction isn't really surprising. Without taking this editorial statement out of context and in the spirit of just having a discussion, this shit is portrayed everywhere you turn. TV, movies, song lyrics, the fucking news, and yeah, video games. They are desensitized to this stuff after being constantly bombarded with its imagery daily. Not an excuse, just an observation.

However, his "haha" does indicate he was entertained by that. Ex, is that really funny to you? Be honest. Have you seen "American History X" with Ed Norton? The curb stomp scene funny too? Everyone has their own sensitivities and I doubt you're in the right place to have an open, honest discussion on the subject. The irony lies in the film being on the internet for others to 'enjoy'. I'm interested in knowing the story after this happened.

Ehh I was like 10 when my parents first saw it, and they seriously didn't want me to see it..and it never really got brought back up and I honestly forgot about it. I'm interested to see it now though.

And I didn't mean 'haha' as in it was fucking hilarious...they just got fucking rumbled...and yes, imo, it was a tad bit funny. Sorry.

EDIT: I've heard what the curb stomp scene is like and honestly it didn't sound like the worst thing in the world, but regardless, I have to see it to comment.

Schoolyard fights are part of the deal. It's the mob mentality and lack of anyone assisting or trying to stop it. The other things that are worth asking: Can/Did the presence of camera and crowd actually encourage participation? After the initial hits and seeing nobody in the crowd assist, how many took that as a sign to join in, consequence free?
