Logitech G15.. Good Stuff?

K, got some money and need a new keyboard bad.

G15 from Logitech rates high, the old version at least, so wanted some input of those who have one here..

Need a backlit keyboard and the LCD is nice case ACT supports it as well other apps.. For now flair over form..

The old G15 is what I have and it's a very nice keyboard, but it's large, so make sure you got the room for it on your desk.

It's not really that great for FPS, but with the macroing functions it's perfect for EQ2 and others MMO.

Roger that.. Thanks both for your input.. I've read it's big but I've got a large area..

Some reviews of the new model state the LCD is reduced in resolution and can't be adjusted as well it has less macro'able keys.. I've been looking at it for a bit now and of course tonight I go to possibly pull the trigger and NewEgg is out of stock..

I have the new one, it's awesome -- mainly because of the programmable keys and the nice orange backlight. I don't really use the LCD as much as I thought I would.

I have the old one i love it. im dps use the mini parser on it a lot, like the blue back light and the macro keys. also works with i tunes and shit like that. All the non gamer who come over my house and see it think its sweet too. IMO if your gonna actually use the thing its worth the money.

I've had the blue one for well over a year now. Its awesome. ACT supporting the LCD is great, makes calling timers without 2 monitors a breeze.

Logitech also has an amazing CS team. I know of several people who had problems with their G15 and logitech instantly shipped a replacement.

While the only thing i could gripe about is the size, its got an extra 2-3 inches on the left, which can be a hassle if room is an issue. Fortunately for me its not.

I don't see how you can go wrong buying this keyboard tho.

ps. I don't understand the comment how its not good for FPS? Care to elaborate.

it doesn't do much for fps games i dont think, i play cs source never found real use for it. also it may even get in the way i dunno
