Fanboi...as an insult?
Not sure where to put this, so feel to move to wherever on a whim. (Like you need my permission)
Alot of the threads here have conflicting views, which is great. I have seen quite a few in which someone will apparently get upset with the other, and call them a "fanboi". I have 2 questions on this...
1) What exactly does this insult mean? Does it mean they like the game?
2) If so....Aren't you kind of totally slamming yourself when you call someone else a fanboi?
I mean, I can't speak for others, but when I see someone call someone else a fanboi, I think what they are saying is....
"Yeah, you like the game. Ha!! Look everyone, that dude likes the game!!" (That'll teach them, telling them they like the game they pay to play)
coupled with
"I hate the game and the company. This isn't stopping me from coughing up my monthly fee, because, darn it, I hate the game!!"
