I believe the answer to that is that we like the product, but not what they are doing with it. Eq2 has an unbelievable amount of potential but they keep wrecking it piece by piece.
For instance, imagine if the game had been like EoF is from the start. This game would most likely have stolen a whole heap of WoW's subscribers right there, but due to numerous balance issues, management not being able to tell what their target audience is and various other issues it came at the worst possible time.
Personally EoF was the final nail in the coffin for me and i already canceled my account, however i keep visiting forums and stuff just in case they happen understand what they are doing sometime in the future. I might even consider coming back.
Actually thats more of a rant against Eq2, not SOE but you get the point. They need to get their heads out of their asses and realize exactly what they want to do instead of as we say here "turn the coat toward the wind" (which would be about the same as "following the stream": instead of deciding on something and stick with it they cant make up their mind and try to keep everyone happy, failing at all points). They started this game as a group/raid game but somewhere along the road they realized that "other games" had more solo content and instead of sticking to their initial decision they try to "revamp" (SOE's favorite word) it to streamline the game. (I'm not complaining about the soloers or the raids, I'm simply saying that they can't make up their minds)
Thats my reason anyway
