Ok So I sell this guy my eq2 account and 5 day's later it get's banned he want's his money back I tell him no way the account worked when you purchased it. He the threatend to sew me for $150( the price I sold it ) so .... do you think he will win ?

I am no lawyer, but if you sold the account "in good faith," meaning you were unware of any pending action, then I really don't think he would have a case.

Of course this skirts the issue of whether an account can legally be "sold" outside of exchange.

No, it is NOT illegal. There is no law that states it is illegal to transfer the account. However, it is against the account's terms of services, therefore it is completely buyer beware. Anytime you sell or buy an account there is no guarantee that the account will work after X amount of days, due to the fact that it is against the terms of service, you are going into a black market. You don't get to return goods to the black market, you either buy it and it works forever, or you buy it and it breaks and you get fucked.

Well first of all you're a douche bag for selling the guy a fucked up account. Account don't get banned just like that unless you have a shitty history.

Having said all of that, I can definitely see him losing. Assuming he's going after your ass through a small claims court and having no lawyer to represent him. You both sounds like idiots so I doubt he can prove anything worth a shit.
