Another landslide for Obama
After he whipped Hillary's ass in SC, he followed up with an even more convincing victory in GA.
Quote:
ABC - Obama Overwhelmingly Wins Georgia Primary
In the first win of what is expected to be a long night, Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., defeated Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., in Georgia, a key Southern state, winning 86 percent to Clinton's 13 percent, according to preliminary exit poll results.
|
And from Obama's camp itself:
Quote:
Obama's victory in Georgia was achieved through a broad coalition of voters. He not only increased his support among African American voters since South Carolina (78% in South Carolina to 86% in Georgia), but he dramatically improved his standing among white voters (from 24% in South Carolina to 43% in Georgia.)
UPDATE: The win in Georgia tonight is Barack's strongest showing among female voters of any contest so far. In raw percentages, his highest showing so far has been 54%, in South Carolina. Adjusted for a two-way race, he would have gotten 64%. Tonight in Georgia, Barack got 64% of the vote among women, which made up 63% of the electorate.

Even women don't want to vote for Hillary.

Re: Another landslide for Obama
According to CNN.com, Obama now leads in pledged delegates, which means he has a lead in the popular vote so far.
The only reason Clinton is still the "frontrunner" is because of the superdelegates.
Personally, I think it would be a travesty if the majority of Democratic voters wanted Obama, only to have the establishment thumb their noses at them because they owe Bill Clinton a favor.
