What the shit...? Why not look into shows you used to watch when you were a kid?

Voltron, Thundercats, He-Man, Smurfs, Transformers, Gobots, Snorks, Pinwheel, Dungeons and Dragons. It'll keep you busy trying to find them and when you do, enjoy watching them.

i usually just throw on Snatch or Donnie Darko. Or any of the Kevin Smith films. Or Forbidden Zone. Or Shaun of The Dead. Or search out and find Six String Samurai.

Cartoon Network or Comedy Central are also always on.

Or go find the box set of Elfen Lied or Fullmetal Alchemist and revel in that.

TMNT was the only cartoon mentioned above that's tolerable, and only the first two episodes.

I really wanted to like Transformers again, too, but it's just unwatchable, even though the movie (the real one, not the Michael Bay abortion) was awesome.

I actually did, downloaded and watched Spiderman, Reboot and Digimon (lol), and I've never been interested in the ones you mentioned (mainly cuz most were on tv before i was born)

I was thinkin of watching Snatch or Donnie Darko, never seen em. I've watched Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz too many times lol. And Elfen Lied and FMA are a bit too depressing to go back and watch a second time (FMA movie was bullshit imo)

  • The Dresden Files (from the SciFi channel, little corny, but portrays the life of a modern day Wiztard. Pretty fun to watch.)
Assuming you have newsgroups it shouldn't be hard to find any of the above.
Never had much interest in Lost or Prison Break but they seem to be really popular so I'll give em a go. Never heard of Wire, I'll have a look at that too.

Thanks for the suggestions, keep em coming

All I watch on TV:

Breaking Bad
Deadliest Catch
Late Night with Conan O'Brien
South Park
The Colbert Report
The Unit

Everything else is trash.

As for movies, you can't go wrong with David Mamet (I recommend starting with State & Main, then The Spanish Prisoner, and making sure you watch Oleanna dead last. The dialogue is maddening if you aren't a Mamet fan.), The Coen Brothers (while disappointed by No Country, it doesn't deserve a bad rating), or Paul Thomas Anderson.

Animu ^_^:

Excel Saga
Jin Roh: The Wolf Brigade
Now and Then, Here and There
Puni Puni Poemi
Non-Miyazaki Ghibli stuff like Whisper of the Heart and Grave of the Fireflies.
