Seems that some of the stuff they had sold that was supposed to work on Vista had certain features disabled. Fortunately for many pissed off Crative owners there was a guy on the forums that was writing new drivers and getting this functionality to work. For whatever reason Creative didn't like this and sent him an e-mail, as well as posting the contents of the e-mail in their support forums. Seems it has caused quite a stir. DK wrote drivers which unlocked features of certain cards in Vista, which Creative didn't have rights to support in Vista.

It's a bullshit thing, that Creative should have realized MUCH sooner, but they're stuck.

Microsoft has made the same mistake...
