Kinda balances out, donit?

What if 2+2=5? is that just if you use sufficiently large values of 2?

Physics is just a word to describe a certain set of mathematic principles, but it based on math, not wishes and cookies.

Just coming up with a random "Maybe" or touting half baked theories that an unmeasurable black hole that nobody has ever seen or documented in a region that can actually be gone to to get empirical evidence from don't make mathematics and science.

I WAS wrong about the culture and month of the end of the world. It's the Mayan calendar, and the month is december, the year is still 2012.

I relaxed about this kind of shit after nothing happened on May 5, 2000.

The planets did still align though!
And when I was a kid I imagined I would never live past 27...
Guess how old I turned on May 4th '00...

LOL I was sure it was the end.

And the book 5/5/2000 was actually pretty fun to read.

Support....Always need support classes when fighting the evil minions.
Or maybe healer. I'm predicting we will need lots and lots of Druids for this one.

Besides, there will always be enough gung-ho tanks and dps to go around.

CERN says officially that there is no threat to our world but they are basing that on a theory.
In "theory" every black hole emitts some kind of radiation (a theory of Stephen Hawkings) and such small micro black holes "should" vaporize almost instanly. But if they dont they would be stable. A stable micro black hole would be pulled down by earths gravity into its center so fast that the instruments couldnt even detect that its there.
The small black hole would consume the earth from inside out in a matter of minutes.

CERN denies that this might happen(because of this Hawkings "Theory").
But just today a friend over at another forum who knows a scientist working at CERN confirmed that this actually might happen.
The fact that they might produce millions of those small black holes in their experiments makes this only worse.

Firstly, as was said before (but apparently needs to be pounded in more), the whole "Friend of a friend who knows a guy" argument just fucking obliterated any shred of a hope you might have of people taking your word seriously.

Secondly: I'm not in any science faculty, but jesus fucking christ. People need to fucking realize that a "scientific theory" does not have the same fucking meaning as regular english "theory". For something to be labeled as a scientific theory, it must have some sort of empirical (experimentally backed) base. A theory in common english language is just unfounded ideas. A scientific theory has backing behind it, and frankly, I'd trust Hawking's theories a lot more than your doomsday ones.

Yeah, I'm not seeing too many downsides to an end-of-the-world cataclysm that allegedly occurs faster than a SoE dev can nerf his own ethics... we'll all die before we know anything bad is happening! Hmm... no more paying taxes, no longer have to pay the bank another penny for loans and mortgages... with an August schedule for the first collisions, we've got a few more months to party it all up (bonus that we still get to catch the July "X-Files2" premiere). Face it, this might be our only chance to prevent a successful resurrection of Menudo! Aside from the "being dead" part, it all seems good to me.

If this is gonna be the end of the world, we have an obligation to party out our Sunset like there's no tomorrow! Why "donate" your money to a shady lawsuit / ponzi-scheme fund to pay off ambulance-chasing lawyers, when there's still booze left on the shelves and hookers walking the streets?? Are you fucking retarded?

Side note: I saw the movie "The Mist" the other night and if LHC is only gonna rip open a lame-ass portal in Europe I'll be pissed if we're stuck with the damn alien spiders while Alizee gets eaten.
