I was going to say it was the two white circles in the back.

The mirrors reflecting light of some sort, would look such a way.

And you can see the yellow rose nex to her left hand in the reflection as well.
The angle is about 45deg it appears.

**edit actually < 45deg.
But I think it's a poor perspective. in order to get that angle the bar counter would have to be at more of an angle in the painting as well. or the wench would have to be standing at more of an angle to the bar.
The perspective really doesnt work as it is in the image assuming there is only a mirror behind her.

Actually I looked at the bottles, and simple assumed the guy was really bad at reflections. Certain bottles line up, others are absent. On the far right of the screen, you can see the reflection of the flower from the cup.

I say that the guy is bad at certain things, even though he's a classic, because if you look at the bottles bottoms and the bottom of the glass holding the flower, you see blaring differences in perspective.

If Manet was better at art, there wouldn't be an argument as to whether or not there's a mirror here, but I'm going to stick with my original hypothesis.

Because generations of pompous art fags say they are good, doesn't make it so.

van Gough made horrible art and people loved it because it was different. So don't give me the "these guys are classic they make awesome paintings" bullshit because it doesn't mean jack to me.

We're all human, we all make mistakes. These artists are no different, case in point, the bottles.

I disagree. Sometimes unfortunate, but everyone is entitled to and allowed to express their own opinion.

But yea, I think theres a mirror behind her, and point of view as described earlier with the arrows, either that or the mirror is on an angle. And the mirror did add some weight lol, her butt looks just a little wider, but up higher in the mirror. It seems to me that everything behind her and in the mirror is somewhat fuzzy, while her and the counter in front of her are not.

It seems the way her hair falls in the mirror, that we'd be able to see it in, when facing her. Looking at her face, she has her hair pulled completely back, in the back. But in the mirror it just seems to fall straight down in the back.
