Horror based around vampires has been relatively shitty, though, with a few exceptions like Fright Night and The Lost Boys.

There's a few good vampire drama movies, too (but the genre is still shitty on the whole). Interview with the Vampire and Dracula are the only titles that come to mind.

Thinking about it, that probably applies to all creatures. Look at zombies. 3-4 good movies out of god knows how many.
