and omg, Israphil i dont know if your a chick or a dude, but I as a chick didnt even take the time to notice the flag been up on one pic and down on another... and trust me i notice things, like for example yesterday my bf and i went to the employment bureau and the guy that walked by was totally gay (nothing against gays) but he had his eyebrows done, light lipgloss and swing his hips, and when we left i asked my bf if he noticed and he's like wow chicks notice the weirdest things (( once again nothing against gays )) but back to topic

Meph is right you should take the time to learn the real history behind the flag, and not just listen to what your grandpa tells you.

That totally just reminded me of a funny story! About 9 years ago (yeeesh), I used to wear Urban Decay's SWF lip gloss - a light sparkly pink with a strawberry flavor.
I went to a store to pick some up and the guy running the counter at the time was a straight guy, really handsome, manly, deep voice, the whole 9 yards. I asked him for two tubes of SWF gloss - while he was getting them, we made small talk about the glosses and flavors.
"Litter's flavor is okay. I totally love the taste of SWF though..."
He bent over the counter with the tubes of lipgloss he procured, looked me up and down and said, "me too"... Who knew that SWF lipgloss would get a girl flirted with? o.O

UNLESS you consider the popular belief that the war was fought solely around slavery, then Blacks were used a scapegoat for an excuse to go to war.

Because one backward group of racist Hicks used the Confederate Battle Flag as their symbol does not make it a Racist Symbol. If anything people should be pissed by the KKK for taking a historical symbol and corrupting it to their use. The Klan its self was made to put southeners back in power of their states out of fear their culture would be completely eleminated, unfortantly it evolved beyond that so it's little more then a racist orginazation now having lost sight of anything else.

But I guess its more convenient just to hate a flag rather then its curropters, afterall flags dont fight back.

Tying it to the next paragraph makes it worse, not better.

Attempting to compare wanting a stronger central government with fascism is like saying the AFL-CIO is just like the communist party because they both share the slogan "Worker's Unite!".

Just like you go on to say with regards to the confederacy and Nazism in your next post, you cannot compare disparate political philosophies on the basis of one shared, non-defining ideal.
