The image of 'The Greys' were inspired by the corpses of monkeys and test pilots of secret government air/space/weapon projects. Roasted in a fireball, skin stretched, hair singed off, big vacant eye sockets, dragged out from some twisted wreck of a bizzare looking prototype aircraft, taken away to some hanger that nobody wants to admit exists, caught in the long ranging eye of a shaky amature camera - those are your aliens.
