And the CFL is crap, and so are those records. He wouldn't even make the practice squad for the Bears in the NFL.

Would hate to be a running back in that league. Also explains why that QB's stats are so inflated.

With the smaller field and 4 downs, the NFL is more about precision. CFL with it's wide field and 3 downs is all about going for big plays. Nothing more than glorified backyard football.

I have ... It's nothing spectacular.

Dude put up that many yards and TD's because

1) He played for 23 fucking seasons.
2) CFL is backyard football played by people trying to get into the NFL.

Want to know a CFL player who would be ranked higher based on performance and not just career numbers? Doug Flutie.

That's right people I said Doug Flutie. He was in the CFL for only 8 seasons yet managed to win 6 CFL's most outstanding player awards and 3 Grey Cup MVP's (the Canadian championship).

8 seasons from Doug Flutie to put up 41,000 yards in that league.

The first non-Canadian to be put in their hall of fame? That looks like a good enough resume to me. Why doesn't he have better career numbers ? Because he spent years playing in the better league... the NFL.

So, let's compare.

Brett Favre: 61655 passing yards across 17 seasons = 3626 and some change yards per season average
Damon Allen: 72381 passing yards across 23 seasons = 3147 yards per season average (that came out even!)

Brett Favre: 442 touchdown passes across 17 seasons = 26 per season average
Damon Allen: 394 touchdown passes across 23 seasons = 17 and some change per season average

His scrambling is a hell of a lot better than Favre, but Vick will tell you that won't win games.

Now, this is even ignoring the fact that Joe Montana doesn't have anywhere close to those numbers, and he's easily the best to have ever played the game.

Also, there's a reason CFL players hope to be farmed by the NFL.
