He was my favorite comedian of all time. I've seen him at 8 different performances, all in the front row :D
I even met him once, at the second show I went to in Wisconsin Dells. Earlier in the show I bought a t shirt with 2,000 dirty words and phrases on it, so I brought it to him and asked him to sign it. He told me " That shirt is black, it won't show up" I just told him it was for the memory, so he did it anyway. In person he was really kind, and actually wasn't very intimidating. A very comfortable guy to be around. He will definitely be missed by this Wisconsinite
Joe, if you're out there, make sure he gets to wherever he's going, and make sure to bring the bat.
