I assume mine is fine, I'm rarely sick. I was also the only person that wore a mask 80% of the time inside the truck (the box dust really bothered me) -- perhaps that's why I wasn't compromised.

I attribute my not being sick to have worked at UPS. Touching boxes that have been touched by who knows what, being in trailers, etc. I probably got sick a bunch of times while I was there, but because I was probably exposed to the shit of shit, now the common ailments don't affect me.

At least, that's what I tell myself when I go to bed at night.

Mm, I don't know. I wore gloves but they were filled with holes after getting caught in the belt 200-300x.

That reminds me. One night, we had these styrofoam boxes coming down the line filled with god-knows-what. Well, turns out they contained medical samples and one fell off the belt and spilled all over the guy that was collecting overflow. Close to 4 gallons of liquefied shit, he had to go to the hospital, it was probably the funniest thing I've ever seen in my life.

And a major reason I never collected overflow.

I picked up a box one time on the ground, before I knew why it was on the ground.

It was filled with powder, like for iced tea and shit, and it had to go onto one of the top belts =(

and I would lose gloves all the time =\ it sucked when you lost a pair at the beginning of the shift and then came home with black hands ( NOT SURE WHY THEY TURNED BLACK) and 2many papercuts.

Yeppers. Money is the dirtiest thing we all touch on a regular basis. I have sanitizer and wash my hands 5 times a day at my bank job. I NEVER touch my face until I have been able to SCRUB the shit out of my hands.

I have people come in and lick their fingers while counting money out. OR some of my fellows tellers eat food while they are working... UGH! SO NASTY!!!!!

so every box that came into our hub came thru us, and by the zip code, went to one of 14 different colored belts.

12 behind us, 1 above the sort line, and one below the sort line.

from there they get sorted more, missorts get sent back ( chute every 20 or so feet on the line to resort them

^^ looked like this probably 80% of the time. Sometimes the sort chutes would be backed up, and you would have to stack boxes until they fixed it, aka each person had like walls around them lol, or there would be a truck with small boxes for a little bit and you would just be bored semi afk.

^^ only difference i see here is it might have been a smaller hub because the whole top is purple. for us was 4 different colors just like the 2nd and 3rd row.

edit - also notice how hes reading the other zip code while throwing the first box in the chute. thats how you have to do it to keep up =\ multitasking ftw

Yeah, you'd stack them, and then when the belt actually went back on, it caused more problems. I used to be a pickoff after I pulled my hamstring, so I had a slight hatred for sorters~
