He is not publicly financed whatsoever. Somehow he has tricked large portion of people into thinking private donations are somehow some perverted form of public funds depending on who you receive them from and then exploiting that.
This line of logic makes even churches public institutions, b/c well they are funded by the "public."
EDIT - I don't blame him for doing it. If I were running for president I would do the same thing. Why not? Spend more than the other guy if you have it. The problem I have is don't honestly insult my intelligence. People can't honestly be this stupid and if they are +1 Barrack.

It's not that he did it that bugs me, I saw it coming, it's that he made himself seem a martyr by doing it. Most of his donated funds come in fact from the same type of power donors that supported Hillary.
Don't worry though, if that's pushed you to the brink of not voting for him, this summer is going to push you clear to the opposition out of spite.
Oh and Obama news reporters, I'd appreciate if you just came out and said you were biased as opposed to being anything close to independent because it's obvious when pro-Obama news, no matter trivial like this speech gets posted yet when he flops, hedges or otherwise blatantly betrays principle nothing gets said. As I said before, all politicians are liars, all you ever can go by is thier history and in Obama's short one he's shown himself to be a politician more concerned with his own self preservation than any principle so far. Keep drinking the Kool-aid until November and if he wins by 2012 you'll be wondering how you ever got a president worse than W. Bush.
