The NAFTA we have in place now is not the same NAFTA that was devised or even when it was approved. Even since implemented it was amended numerous times. I know for a fact when McCain was talking of expanding its reach it was under a multitude of conditions, which im trying to find through all these bullshit articles.

EDIT - I seriously cant' find them, probably b/c it wasnt a big deal at the time, but I remember the 2 bigs ones that rang out in my head were.

This was in response to numerous problems that went both ways such as lost industrial jobs b/c of poor labor practices to mexican farmer riots over the extremely cheap prices of US food.

I can't see whatever is being linked.

For the record, I think "free trade" is mostly a farce that hurts us more than it has helped, and I believe the same things Ross Perot did about NAFTA. But that doesn't mean I'll run to Obama with all the other dealbreakers he has up his sleeve.

I also know that the dollar was very much hurt over the decades by deficit spending that the government resolved by creating more money for its own use.

But while we're on the subject, how can anyone honestly sit here and tell me that they're militantly anti-NAFTA, yet are scared into believing that Obama doesn't mean it when he says he'll revisit the whole thing and pull put of it if necessary...

What he said and since I don't oppose NAFTA or free trade at all I can't answer you Otis. John has also clearly advocated along with his free trade stance that the Government should do more to aid the workers it has fucked, where is Obama on that one or more to the point, how many different policies has Obama claimed on that one?
