Keith O. isn't the place, if you call what he reports fair then your center is way off to the left.

Yes and all those sources say the same thing-- he's "changed" because of his presidential run. He rode straight talk until it killed him politically so now he's pandering, badly. But, at least he took those stands before, at least he has those scars and the heart of those stances are still so obviously with him that I have no worries about what he would do if elected.
What about Barack? You still haven't posted anything in support of him that's actually works. All these threads about how much McCain has flip-flopped and abandoned his old ways, all this recounting of McCain history yet not one post of Obama's actual works in politics. Not one post about his political courage. You believe so strongly in him, post what he's done politically and we can have a new politics style rational discussion. Until then, he's still nothing.

Correction: works for you.
And that's the difference between you and I. If you want to vote for McCain, or against Obama, knock yourself out. I'm not here to change your mind. I'm here to make observations, perhaps get into a few discussions here and there, voice my opinions, and at the end of the day, you go your way, and I go mine.
I make no claims to understand why someone of a sane mind could possibly pull the lever for John McCain, but I can accept the fact that I don't understand. If I wanted to, I'd try harder, not ask you or anyone else to explain it to me.
But I'm just silly like that, I guess.

Re: Yes We Can
From Obama's book 'The Audacity of Hope'
"I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction."
Hmm, what does this mean?

No way you read that because he didn't write it. The actual quote is a longish passage about how in times of crisis the U.S. has turned on its most vulnerable citizens. He references Japanese internment camps and the says that should the winds shift that way again, he will defend them.
Of course, when it could cost him politically to be photographed with them, they have to go.

Re: Yes We Can
Nah, I didn't read it, as I would never read a book by that waste of oxygen. It was linked to me from someone else and I was curious if he actually wrote that. Thanks for clearing it up for me.

Nah, you're just full of shit. You purposefully posed your previous post in such a manner as to suggest that you had, in fact read that.
If you really were curious, you could have started by asking the right question, such as, oh, I don't know...
"did he say this?"
Or, you could have spent about 30 seconds less time than it actually took to type out that post, and do a search of your own instead of trying to stir shit. Maybe you'd have stumbled upon this:
snopes.com: Barack Obama in His Own Words
But nah, instead you chose the path that made you look the dumbest of all.
Grats on that.
