Yea, that doesn't sound good. Nothing of the sort has happened with mine. Could try calling a dealer and see if they have any useful suggestions other than "bring it in."

Have you tried putting the name of the CD player into google and putting Manual after it? Seems stupid but tbh, its more then likely that someone else has had the same problem and posted it on a forum somewhere and gotten an answer.

QFE - One of my friends did this for his laptop. Turn radio to 88.1 or w/e channel you set the tuner to, and play any music from the laptop to listen to on the radio. Win.
