So what other stupid shit people normally do with babies is now a legal issue? Kid was stupid true but it's not much worse than what siblings do to each other daily and a lot of other routine baby play is fairly dangerous.

First off, 16 != adult so of course he should not be charged as an adult. I am so sick and fucking tired of people wanting to give kids adult responsibility without any of the benefits. When 16 yr olds can drink, buy guns, vote, and enter into binding contracts, then you can try them as adults. We need to pick a fucking age when a person is considered an adult and stick to it.

Second, I think the doctor was doing all she could to keep from cracking up.

Third, did anyone else catch the irony that the original video had been removed from youtube ... yet we were watching the newscast on youtube. Hrm ...

Yeah, charging minors as adults should be reserved only for the most heinous, sadistic acts where the action is so reprehensible and shows issues so deep, the public is better served by the harsher standard. This is the case of a stupid 16 year old doing something a stupid 16 year old does. Before we started this law as parent trip, the behavior would have been remedied by parents and ended there with a real lesson learned, not just a scared shitless kid.
