I'll I'm saying is that if you believe that the stuff you get today is somehow an inferior product to the stuff they were producing "back in the day" you have been severely misinformed. The science has gotten better, the knowledge has increased, and people are more resourceful than they have ever been.

It's a matter of economics and culture. After 40 years of psychedelics being demonized by the media and authorities (ie. you'll kill your parents or yourself if you take LSD) young people generally aren't quite so gung-ho to ride the trip fantastic.
At least compared to 30 years ago.

On the economics side: if you are a talented chemist involved in the drug trade why would you try and deal a drug that is in low demand and is costly to produce when there are cheap and easy-to-make drugs like Meth that are wildly popular by comparison. Follow the money.

Oh yeah and... the US government has psychedelics like LSD labeled as Schedule 1 drugs so dealing in it pretty much guarantees even a first time offender a life sentence.

Then it must be culture. In my home town, LSD was just as popular and probably more available than X in the 90's and early 00's.

Yeah, yer the expert I'm sure. You talk about "inferior products" when you should be talking about "cultural tolerance". It has nothing to do with technological advances allowing us to make stronger hallucinogens, it has to do with the general lack of desire to re-create the birth of the Universe on a regular basis.

Further to that, the lack of technological prowess back then didn't allow for much quality control.

It's not a matter of IF they can produce better, they usually can, it's just they can make the same amount of money selling their "shit" product.
