Good point, good point.

I really should just sit back and be happy that I'm a minority because even though there are the ones like the pool lady.....there's far more actual racists out there.

Example:

My mother started dating a native american about a year ago. (he gets insulted if you call him an indian because apparently in their culture, indians are the ones that stick on the rez living off the government and the native americans are the ones who bust out of there and get jobs etc.)

Anywho, this guy is from a son's view point the best BF she's ever had. Hard worker, smart, polite, spoils her and the list keeps going on. Hell, he's even got a GT40 he's been restoring for the past 5 years....so his cool factor is way up there IMHO.

Yet she tells me all kinds of stories about how people won't wait on them in resteraunts, ignore him at customer service etc. He's gotten to the point where he just gave up on standing up for any rights at all and lets pretty much anyone walk all over him.

If that were me, I'd have spent a lot of time in jail throughout my lifetime from all the noses I busted... LOL

Being personally shunned due only to race isn't right, but this generic "portray someone of <race> any way other than saintly and the world is going to end" bs needs to stop. People just get offended way too easily.
Like just today Foxnews.com reported about the name allah being discovered on a steak in Nigeria, and now that restaurant is being flooded with visitors.. it goes on to mention other religious symbols on food, but guess which pic they leave out.
This one:

I don't understand how they can call it a steak, but that's my only concern with it. (btw it's been nicknamed the "allah meat")
