The Associated Press: Colombia: Red Cross symbol wrongly used in rescue

I am of course happy that the rescue attempt was a success but I can't help but thinking that the Red Cross lost all its credibility with that one Colombian soldier wearing their symbol.

Has the Red Cross symbol now become a bullseye?

as to the OP yeah that's kinda my thought... as much as it sucks and they said it was a mistake they may have ruined the red cross reputation.

It was nice that they finally rescued these people, it also turned the Colombia/ Venezuela situation around, and may cool any outstanding concerns in that area of the Americas at least for the time being. WE'll see
