Well I dunno where you live but if you said shut the fuck up to someone laughing in a theater in rochester you wouldn't just get a dirty look. That being said my brother and I did get in a fight during a movie with some blacks because they kept talking on their cell phones after repeatedly asking them to be quiet. We got a rain check too =)

Also as far as the joker being funny. The whole point of his antics is he is having fun. If you can not appreciate his form of humor and laugh with him then you aren't connecting with the character.

It was an incredible introduction into The Joker's mania, but it wasn't funny.

I paid the same as every other asshole in that theater. Any asshole who feels like they have the right to disrupt it, or waste my $8 can feel free to stand up to me when I tell them to shut the fuck up. I'm definitely no "tough guy" but fuck that if I'm gonna sit by while assmonkeys who don't understand movies ruin them for me.

Also, Heath in the nurse outfit was awesome. They REALLY wrote that script as fucked as possible.

You do realize that movies, music, books, or any form of entertainment is usually left up to the reader, watcher, and/or listener to interpret. Directors, writers, actors, etc. all want their fans to decipher their work in their own way.
Although in this particular instance, it is very hard to see the Joker as being serious throughout the entire movie, especially when he consistently asks people "Why so serious?". If you didn't laugh when he made the pencil dissapear there must me a chemical imbalance in your brain or something along these lines.

P.S.- Maggie Gyllenhal is hot.

Good thing Laodaron wasn't in the theatre with me during Schindler's list when I started laughing hysterically. Might have put me in my place.

I'm going to see Dark Night in a couple hours. My only concern is a lot of the same people telling me the movie is incredible said the same thing about The Departed, which I found to be so-so. I hope this movie doesn't prove to be the same :/

Oh yeh and Katie Holmes is not hot at all. At least as far as "hot" goes when referred to Hollywood stars/celebrities.

I'm no Katie Holmes fan, but Maggie Gyllenhall was easily a worse choice than Katie. Neither were good.
