She was so fucking frown-faced ugly I was hoping the same thing. I wanted to stand up in the middle of the movie and just slap the fucking ugly out of her. Maybe she's a sweet person IRL but a movie personality she is NOT.

I wasn't annoyed, I was glad for once that a superhero would try not to obviously appear and sound like his real world counterpart.

Is that the same faggot Batman that went out of his way to save the Joker's life for "That Overpowering Moral Reason"? Then he yells at the Joker, "You're going to County Jail!!!" LIKE THAT MEANS A FLYING FUCKING SHIT. OH GOD NO, ANYTHING BUT THAT!!

But God damn, Harvey Dent in the first half of the movie was fucking awesome, someone who would have been great to rally behind had the whole "Two Face" bullshit not happened. You could have made a whole movie based on the combined awesomeness of Harvey Dent and Batman. Well, before his bizarre transition to revenge (he died before we knew if he had a potential for crime). I was hoping Batman would save Harvey instead of the dumb bitch Rachel and surprisingly he delivered. The second half of the movie just fell apart.

So what now, Batman has an official rap for killing 5 people? Is the third movie just gonna say to the people of Gotham, "Ooops, we made an accident."

Ledger was so good in this movie that everyone else seemed meh, you can say it was cheesy acting, underdeveloped plots, or ugly chicks but honestly they could have put any actor in those scenes and it wouldn't have mattered b/c i doubt anyone would have cared.

The scene of him blowing up the hospital had me anxious, grossed out, and laughing within the span of it. Him in that nurse outfit clicking that trigger and then hopping around just was too much. He seemed so natural being so weird lol.

Christian Bale is a better actor than this, so where was he? He was so flat, so dull, so meh I think George Clooney would have done better. And who the fuck cares about Racheal? Anyone is better than TomKat Holmes /vomit.

The movie was too long, too few scenes with Batman and the Joker, wrong movie for two face imo. There's too much there to start covering it and then abruptly stop. It seemed more like Caine and Freeman were cameos than roles, such an underuse for two great seasoned actors. The movie was good but only b/c of Ledger otherwise it would have sucked.

While watching it, I forgot it was Heath Ledger and someone who died tragically but he convinced me he was the joker. He brought a darker side and not the cheesy 60s joker or Jack Nicolson's joker but a pure psychopath with a sense of humor. Until I saw the movie I thought it was just overhype and then I was just blown away by his brilliance. What a god damn shame that boy is dead.

Last thing, I saw it Monday night and could not remember the last time a Monday night showing of anything held a packed house. I had thought going Monday I wouldn't have to deal with a huge crowd but alas that was not the case I could probably watch this again.

Nice take. I liked the Luceus character in this movie, and it seemed that he would have a bigger role, but it was like they had too much to fit in for it to materialize. The Alfred role I felt was alright, he didn't seem underplayed imo.

The thing about the batman character is that he actually is stoic, emotionless and flat. when george clooney did batman, he was way too energetic. batman is an angry, dull, emotionless character, not a funny, charismatic, goofball like george clooney is. i liked his acting in this movie. to me, he acts out perfectly everything that batman represents. a strong sense of justice, self sacrificing recklessness and best of all his stoicism.

the movie had batman and the joker when it needed them, but the movie as a whole was bigger than just the 2 of them. its a complex story about harvey dent as well and how gotham city is actually becoming more violent and more twisted by the presense of batman.

Tim burton's batman was a much less serious take on batman, allowing them to be more cheesy, but this batman is much more truer to the comic books, it is serious and captures not only the personality of batman, but the true darkness of Gotham city. the joker is the first step in transforming gotham into its even more twisted self. i thought heath ledger did an incredible job, and i agree, he was so good at the joker, i cant think of anyone will be able to replace him, not even a johnny depp.

i had a similar experience on Wednesday morning, the theater was more than half full at the matinée show. surprising indeed.

My favorite scene had to be when he was talking to the Ugly Bitch at Harvey Dent's Fundraiser and he was telling his Why So Serious story.

".. now i'm always smiling!".

That just summed up for me how truly fucked up he was.
