If someone told me to stfu in a theater for laughing I would ruin their face. However I didn't laugh at that scene I just thought it was an awesome introduction to the mob bosses while simultaneously being a fucked up magic trick. Also Joker trotting away in the nurse uniform was pretty badass.

I doubt it. I got dirty looks, but that was the extent of it. If someone was to have stood up to me, though, I doubt in SO many ways that they'd "ruin my face."

It was an incredible introduction into The Joker's mania, but it wasn't funny.

I paid the same as every other asshole in that theater. Any asshole who feels like they have the right to disrupt it, or waste my $8 can feel free to stand up to me when I tell them to shut the fuck up. I'm definitely no "tough guy" but fuck that if I'm gonna sit by while assmonkeys who don't understand movies ruin them for me.

Also, Heath in the nurse outfit was awesome. They REALLY wrote that script as fucked as possible.

Tbh every time the joker was shown he did some sort of twisted act that you couldn't help but chuckle at and just think "man that's fucked up, but so god damn funny"

If you thought anything else then you really don't understand the joker as a character, the single reason he is called the joker is because he makes you laugh while doing fucked up things I.E the grenade ( I think? ) he put in the guys mouth that turned out to be just a smoke bomb or w/e.

You're an idiot that can't understand basic storytelling if you DID laugh in that movie. And also, he'd get nominated regardless of whether he was good in the movie or not He was loved by alot of Hollywood, and his death rocked alot of people. THey're gonna hook him up no matter what.

For the most part, people rely on very overt cues to determine how to best react to situations - movies or otherwise. The movie-going masses have been raised on emotional triggers, be it with a heart-wrenching soundtrack or some passionate monologue describing the virtues of banding together to battle some phantom enemy.

And that's one of the primary things that makes 99% of movies worthless. They're written for that lowest common denominator that should have been weeded out by natural selection, if we hadn't negated it with technology.

I just view it as these people that laugh at innapropriate cues or situation merely lack the cognition to discern between emotions and therefore revert to the most base of them all. Nervous unknown laughter to ensure no one thinks you're dumb for missing a joke(that wasn't even present).
