a few years ago i was driving on the highway and a semi hit me and then ran, apparently someone followed him and gave the cops his plate # because they eventually caught him. since i was not at fault my rates didn't go up even though my insurance company was aware (the car was totaled). i think if my insurance would have paid for my car my rates would have gone up though. think i had geico at the time (with my parents).

What happened was I was driving to Jersey to get gas since its about 50 cents cheaper than it is in New York. So for some reason right at the bridge we had bumper to bumper traffic. I pull up to it and me and my friend sit there for about 20 seconds. Then out of no where BOOM we get hit seats go back airbags pop up. The guy had to be going at least 40 or 50 when he hit us because we shot up about 30 feet and his airbags went through his front window.. I then jumped out of my car (I still don't know how I got out of my seat belt) and stood on the edge of the car (the drivers door) with out stopping it yelling "wtf bro" then I jump out completely and my friend says the cars still going. So I jumped in put it in park and went to see if the guy who hit me was alright. He was as well as everyone else.

I hit the car in front of me the guy had like neck problems or something and the car in front of him was a van with like 6 kids in it. So I guess it's lucky I was hit first and not one of them.
