Re: The Revolution: A Manifesto, by Ron Paul
Paul would be great if he wasn't so morally conservative.

Proof that you haven't read his book!
The only REAL morally conservative thing I see him wanting LEGISLATED (which is the important part, honestly), is his anti-abortion stand...which a majority of Americans support.

Re: The Revolution: A Manifesto, by Ron Paul
And btw, I highly suggest reading Somebody's Gotta Say It by Neal Boortz. Lots of the same ideas as Ron Paul, but he doesn't come off nearly as pretentious.
Ron Paul would get my vote if he'd 1. Stop imaging that an immediate and total pull-out from Iraq was even POSSIBLE and 2. There is no good thing about belonging to an "intellectual elite" class, which he brings up over and over again in his book as if he's smarter than everyone else...dude has gotta get over himself.

More specifically, a simple majority of Congress uses its constitutional authority to remove abortion from the jurisdiction of the federal courts.

Those "retards" are well over 50% of the US populace.
I'm not "per se" against abortion, I just think the federal government oversteps its bounds by mandating its illegality in every state. This goes for narcotics, pharmaceuticals, and education as well!

Re: The Revolution: A Manifesto, by Ron Paul
Honestly, any federally legislated social issue is overstepping their bounds. Marriage, healthcare, abortion, education, the interstate highway program, social security, welfare, etc. Ron Paul just seems like a kook to me, though. Like a crazy old man, but I'll definitely give his book a read. Hll, I've even read Anne Coulter, and she's so conservative, it almost makes my eyes bleed.

DING DING DING! We have a winner.
Conservative. Liberal. Doesn't matter....THAT part of America is 1, and that part of America is growing.

Re: The Revolution: A Manifesto, by Ron Paul
Ron Paul had a lot of good ideas. I voted for him in my state primary - I had a lot of hope that he would do much better. Unfortunatley, when running up against someone who has a lot of friends it's hard to get far. Maybe in the next 20 years with the flow of information through new media outlets we will see different elections. /crosses fingers
