Re: True Blood? (HBO Series)
So I finally got around to watching this. And wow, they don't skimp with the graphic sex scenes, which I guess is appropriate for the genre and all. I was surprised at how loyally the first episode followed the novels (minus the thing with the chains and the sassy best friend), but good god, the acting and directing.... I got dizzy watching Anna Paquin thrust her chin around in super close up like she's a living bobble head.
The locations and sets were spot on, but I don't think I'll be watching it just for the sets. If the cliches get toned down and the character development turned up, it might be worth renting.
