Re: Commander in Chief Test
In all fairness to Krontak, his position (and mine for the most part...with regards to Obama, anyway) has historically been in the minority here. While it takes thick skin to stick to your guns here, you'll have to excuse the occaisional hostile outburst. Arguing with the likes of some of the retard brigade saying the same shit over and over, regardless of the topic, takes it's toll on ones, sanity shall we say.
In the meantime, if you really want to debate him on issues, feel free to pick one and engage him on it. Right here in this thread if it suits.

Re: Commander in Chief Test
Case in point.
Right on cue too, it was almost like we planned that.

Re: Commander in Chief Test
Otis, I'll engage in any issue discussion with you because, even if it's bashing McCain, you typically back it up with some substance. Krontak however has pretty much been the opposite of "new politics" for a long time now and since he knows me so well, there is no point in my initiating any discussion here in this very thread. If he seriously wants to talk issues, he should drop the BS and approach in the manner his candidate has asked him to, not in the manner he has been.

Re: Commander in Chief Test
You're right Deson. Obama has made an effort to stick to his message and not get petty like McCain has as of recently. I should do the same.
There is a reason why Obama chose not to visit the troops and its the same reason why McCain has made a fatal flaw in his attack on Obama not visiting the troops.
The Military is to remain A political for a reason. Troop morale is paramount to preserving the integrity of the chain of command. Morale will be poor if they think their CIC doesn't have their best interests in mind. If anyone should know this it should be McCain.
In this instance, McCain's experience is trumped by Obama's good judgment.
There. That's my first issue. Obama's good judgment. McCain poor judgment even though he has the experience.

Re: Commander in Chief Test
I was simply making a suggestion since you asked him several times in this thread.
You have to remember, for the longest time around here, despite our best efforts and pretty much up until Obama's shift towards the middle, you'd think Obama had no positions on anything other than forcing upon us health care "just like Canada". That got old.

Re: Commander in Chief Test
You must be retarded. Because as a soldier, we REALLY appreciate elitist attitudes from some guy who doesn't respect what we do, but is supposed to be our commander in Chief.

Re: Commander in Chief Test
To be fair to those who presented that view, that was just about the only issue he had consistency on. I'd say he was consistent on Iraq but voting to continue to fund it betrays that to me.
Part of working on principle means standing against all odds and opposition for what's right. If this is not a forum that allows you to do such, either keep trying and sticking to your guns or just drop it. I wouldn't even have issue with Krontak if it weren't for the negative spam he's initiated. As I say repeatedly, it betrays everything his inspiration supposedly stands for.

Re: Commander in Chief Test
Respect what you do? Are you fucking joking. Go check McCains voting record on issues important to vets. McCain receives a D grade, Obama a B+. Vietnam vets give McCain give him a 20%.
I'm starting to think McCain thinks that if vets didn't go through what he did, they don't deserve anything.
Obama could have joined any committee when he joined the Senate. He joined the Vets Affairs Committee. He most certainly has veteran interests in mind.
