Sad but true.
Krontak did you actually see why McCain voted against so many of those bills? part of it was just the sheer volume of cost to government that wouldn't be offset but the more important reason is that many bills being passed encourage people to get out, not stay in. He's always supported smart bills for vets and active duty that encourage retention and rewarding people who make it a career.
As for McCain attacking Obama on the troops issue, yes it's inexcusable, nothing more to be said. As far as Obama being on so many committees, it's not being on the committees it's what you do when there. Surely if his presence were more than cursory he'd have actual accomplishments and substantive meetings on record.
I'm holding out on Obama's "good judgment" because I haven't seen it at work-- unless you count political panders. Without an actual record to go by all I have is words that he admitted can get "overheated and exaggerated". He dug deep into personal attacks on Hillary and started using sound bites on McCain. As soon as he got the nomination wrapped up, he started reversing some of his more important unequivocally stated positions. FISA, Campaign finance, NAFTA are just a few of the positions he's started a change in tack on.
He's an impressive speaker, I just don't know what he's saying since there is nothing to back it up.
Edit: McCain isn't shifting in to Obama. if you look, you'll see he held many of those positions a long time ago. Most of what he's said this campaign is absolute bullshit, all you are seeing is him returning to who he's been for almost 20 years now by his record.
