i find imax movies difficult to enjoy. unless they're the ones that are made for imax. regular films just end up fuzzy and distorted, and you can't quite follow all the action that's on-screen.

at least that's been my experience.

The movie was average...completely average...the Joker was entertaining but he was in the movie for like 15 minutes total.
15 minutes? Wouldn't it have been quicker to just type "Nope, haven't seen it"?

I'm starting to think you are Cambodian or something

They filmed it with IMAX in mind, same as 300 (which also looked amazing. So zero distortion

Pencil trick scene - 1 min

Hospital scene - 2 min

Ferry scene - 5 min

Jail scene - 5 min

Beginning - 1 min

Money burning scene - 1 min

Yea, I think I pretty much covered every part of the movie Joker was in!

Oh, did I forget the scene where Batman almost runs him over but because he follows those stupid moral codes he crashes into the building instead?

My bad, what was that another 2 or 3 minutes?

I think you're cutting some of your scenes a little short, and I can think of another 20m or so that you left out. Really I was surprised by how much joker it did have.

And no I don't think it was the greatest movie of all time, but it was pretty fucking awesome. I really enjoyed Batman Begins too so it just has to be your cup of tea. And Christian Bale pwns, I have enjoyed watching his films since American Psycho.

TRY GETTING A RESERVATION AT DORSIA NOW YOU STUPID FUCKING BASTARD!!!

Even if you really lowball it and say the joker was in 40 mins total that's still nearly 1/3 of the movie.

I can think of a number of Joker scenes that were missed without even really batting an eye because the character and performance was just that captivating.
Joker crashes the party...
Fight over the one remaining spot in my merry band of men...
whatev... I in no way put him in the greatest actors of all time list but, Heath's timing was perfect and depth in character detail was extraordinary. Alive or dead, the performance was remarkable for good reason.

My favorite contemporary actor (Gary Oldman) probably delivered the worst performance in the movie but, it's tough to act with most shots to your back. Also he's doing a support character that should not overshadow the true focus characters.

I was a big fan of comics as a kid and haven't collected them in decades. Batman was always my favorite and when I heard Keaton was going to do Bruce Wayne when the franchise hit theaters I was pissed... until I saw the flick and loved it.

What I'm getting at is... These are just stories and if you didn't like the story of DK then you missed out on what the rest of the folks are excited about. Anti-hype is just as trendy as the other boobery. Quit being butthurt about Godfather. Dark Knight was a fun ride that delivered a little of everything if you just sat back to enjoy it.

The movie was much better than average and easily one of the overall best movie going experiences I've had. I'm probably too old to be considered a fanboi of anything outside my family and friends but, this was a really good piece of lightly dark cinema with great story archs and a few brilliantly unique scenes, even if you aren't a superhero cultist.

Grandma might not like it on account of it's propensity toward violent awesomeness but... grams isn't posting in this thread. Is she?
