Tony Rezko was poor judgment too if you want to go there and it was far more recent with far less having been done to make up for it. Rev. Wright was poor judgment as well-- after it had paid political dividends that is. Then we have Obama forming a PAC then decrying the practice, decrying Unions as special interests before accepting their endorsements and again, Obama has lobbyists all around him, he just doesn't pay them because he thinks it looks good.

You're going to lose those jobs any way. Remember, Obama is for...against.. for.. uh.. well, actually depends on when you ask just how he supports free trade. No, big business being in the green doesn't mean America as a whole is but if it's in the red you can be damn sure most of America is. And News flash! even the saintly Dems have people around them all about $$$ the difference is they hide behind smug and high minded talk as a smoke screen. If they didn't then explain the teacher's union and the scores of other "people's" groups that won't accept good deals/changes to get things moving again?

John McCain may have more Senate experience but the buck stops there. If how McCain has decided to run his political campaign is any reflection of how shitty he'll run the White House, God forbid. The man almost went bankrupt. Can't win the election on his own credentials. Has been forced to go completely negative in his campaign.

What's interesting enough is, even with all the negativity, if you compare Obama's very favorable and McCain's very favorable ratings as recorded by Rasmussen polling, Obama has maintained a %10 lead over McCain, which translates into a very motivated base to run the GOTV campaigns this early fall. He's already ahead by 5-6:1 on ground support and 3:1 in official campaign offices. This should get exciting after the conventions and also when Universities are back in session. McCain supporters are probably going to be nauseous this entire campaign because of all the visibility locally the Obama campaign has generated. Should be fun.

You honestly think Obama is any different than any other politician? He's a shrewd Chicago political machine and he has the race card up his sleeve. I don't like the fact that he's basically trying to redistribute the wealth, and I'm on disability. McCain has a better plan for energy, mostly because Obama's is inflate tires and hope someone else solves it.

Obama scares me, not because he's black, or because his name rhymes with Osama, its because he lacks experience and is winning votes with his smile instead of his plans. Any idiot can say "I stand for hope and change" and win over people who are sick and tired of being sick and tired. If I thought he could actually make a difference I'd vote for him, but I think if he wins he'll go down as a horrible president.

Actually it's been 8 years of trying to figure out what game the guy is playing at all and how exactly no one better showed up--let alone how he got the job in the first place. The next guy isn't confused and thinking it's EQ1, it's just thinking some of those EQ1 strats got a bad rap. The "smart guy" has only figured out what to say. Trying to figure out what he actually believes can give you a conniption because he seems to be willing to appease everyone.

McCain almost went bankrupt because Repubs didn't support him and because he ran against who he was. The biggest killer of him though if you want to go there is that unlike Obama, McCain rode an issue to his death even when he clearly saw it was going to cost him.

Obama only wins if he has a foil.When he doesn't have a clearly more aggravating choice to play off of, he falters terribly. What will be interesting is to see just how much damage his panders/shifts have done to him since his biggest draws are new politics, history and kids trying to prove to the world they aren't racists. If any of those three go, he's toast in November.

Like I previously mentioned, Obama has lost 0% of his very favorable ratings, even with the FICA/Off Shore compromises. I'm damn glad someone has finally seen the light and realized compromises are a way of getting things done rather than just folding and giving in or sitting there like a mule, refusing to budge no matter what and leading to what we have now in Congress and their high negatives. Talk about an ineffective mindset.
