But I would never go that fast at night. Not enough visibility.
Oh, and rabbits, they just disintergrate at those speeds. Just dont brake or swerve LOL.

That is the thing I miss most about New Mexico... The wide open roads, my radar detector worked for miles before, I could easily go 100 mph (of course gas was under 2$). One time tried to race a bike from the on ramp was up to 120, but I just couldn't keep up after that
I miss those days :/

Re: Motorcyclists Head Gets Glued Into Truck At 100 Mph
My best land-speed on a bike was being clocked at a buck seventy-four coming down 6th from the mountains in to Denver. I wasn't even tuned for the altitude but 6th is pretty much a straightaway downhill through Golden.
Don't be fooled by a stock odometer. Mine was showing just over one-ninety at the time and I'd thought I'd smoked my buddy's Busa when I came strutting over to my pals... those were the days... I was a hardcocked plethora of balls with Mr. Potatohead's sense of mortal danger. Thank all that is holy that maturity brings balance and my common sense eventually was able to compete with my overflowing life of reckless awesome before it killed me. I consider myself very lucky to have survived my 20s.

My best average distance/time was the 68 mile trip from Cuba to Bernalillo (yes NM has fucked up town names). 68 miles in 29 minutes with two major slow downs for the little towns that have sherrifs.
Speedo top speed I ever did was 173 on the same stretch of road. Probably about 155 actual speed.

Oizen I understand the grip with reality hitting you.
I had a 68 Cutlass that I had done a ton of work on and use to run down the backroads here in Oklahoma on my way to work and hit about 120ish and just float down the road.
Something about 2 tons of rolling steel, nice mellow exhaust note and the wind blowing on you makes you feel invicible. The old steel like that after 80 would float and drive really smooth.
The roads were little better than cattle trails.. ok maybe not that bad but pretty shitty and really fucking narrow. Came upon a truck one day and had to drop it hard to sub 50 or eat the ass of it.
Shortly after that experience and digging the seat out of my ass for a week, I quit speeding down the back roads. I then use to speed on the main highway but never more 10 over.
Bounce forward 10 years and your lucky to get me 5 over the speed limit. I just value the money I have in my pocket to stay in my pocket. Fuck the cops and fuck paying them my money.

b) O'Hai, I have a career started and too much money without responsibilities. That dude looks really cool on his bike. Maybe if I get a bike too, my dick size will be increased enough to get a hawt girlfriend like his. Although the weight difference is minimal between a 650cc and 1000cc sportbike, and both will kill me just as easily, I'm a pussyassfag and think 1000cc will be too much for me to handle and a 650cc will be no prob if I just go get lessons. O'Cool, there is a 2 day course on Honda Shadows that will help me get a "M" added to my license... /tractor trailer bumper sticker

LOL @ bumper sticker
My second ride on a motorcycle was with one of these types. He had no extra helmet around the place, and used Armor All on the bike seat.
The experiences riding with him didn't really whet my appetite for bikes for a while. His buddy was a good rider & very competent. I dated the wrong guy.

Another thing in common with Oizen. God forbid you have him following you on the Interstate.

April, technically. Story is in Tulsa World.
It has been circulating in email with the pictures, though, and for many unfortunate inboxes, is showing up now. Takes a while to get them rolling, I guess.
