MY wife all pc died for some weeks ago and I cant find whats wrong whit it, so I build a new one whit some spare part as well as a co works old stuff and bugth (its crap but its what I we can afford right now so it works for a wild) but on here old harddrive alto off over son Image is and I want accese to em, so I figured I placed the harddrive in my PC and start.

Can I do it or will 2 harddrives whit Windows on it crash?

When I have extracked all I need is there a prog I can use to format the second harddrive so I can use both?

never done this stuff before so I figured I be sure before I crash something!

If you connect the second hard drive you should be able to access it's data without having it try to boot up windows, seeing as your bios dictates boot order, so the install of windows you already have will take precedence.

So short answer yes, you can hook it up and get your data.

If you have the My Computer window open, you can right click on the drive, and there's an option Format, so that should do the trick.
